i remember seeing clips of Edward Scissorhands in that montage....WTF. The whole tribute was nice to see but what was the point other than taking up airtime?

Yeah, though I thought it was ironic that Kristin Stewart introduced the montage by saying that the Academy hadn't awarded a horror film since The Exorcist, and then there were clips from Silence of the Lambs on it.

He has something coming out this year, so maybe he'll make an appearance in 2011.
I watched 20 minutes of it, realised it was a SCENE FOR SCENE copy of Infernal Affairs (with parts of IA2 thrown in) and stopped watching. I mean, it can't even be considered a remake or a reimagining, it's just a complete copy. Scorsese should be ashamed of himself, especially since he has far more talent than he used in copying IA. It was sad that he won an Oscar for that film. For sure, he deserves many Oscars, but not for that film because it wasn't his film. They should have given the Oscar to Wai-keung Lau and Alan Mak.

Infernal Affairs was a great film, and Scorsese admitted it was an Americanized version. You should give the rest of it a chance, though. It was phenomenal. And Jack was fucking amazing.
